No fence-specific color palette was found, except that chain-link fencing must be black vinyl-coated. General GHPOA materials/colors rules require the design and color scheme of proposed improvements to be harmonious with the lot, adjacent buildings, and surrounding structures.
Admirals Sound is part of Geist Harbours Property Owners Association (GHPOA); the official GHPOA map/lot page lists Admirals Sound among the GHPOA communities, and the DCC guidelines list Admirals Sound Sections 1-10 in the setback schedule. Fences require prior DCC approval before installation or replacement. Ordinary new/replacement fencing may not exceed 4 ft. Fences contiguous and roughly parallel to major thoroughfares may be 6 ft, but must immediately reduce to 4 ft when turned away from the thoroughfare. Existing 6-ft fences may remain if maintained, but new or replacement fences, including replacement of existing 6-ft fences, must meet the current height guidelines. Fences must not extend nearer to the front of the house than the rear foundation line; a bump-out up to 5 ft laterally may be permitted to enclose a rear-yard access door. On corner lots, the fence may not extend forward of the rear foundation line on the more major frontage, but may extend to the front foundation line on the lesser frontage. The finished/best side must face outward, and support rails may not face outward. Fences must not cause ponding or block drainage in swales or drainage easements, and must be located 3 ft from rear and side property lines. Post caps may extend up to 6 inches above the overall fence height. Pools/hot tubs have special barrier rules: perimeter fencing must be exactly 5 ft with a self-closing locking gate if used as the required pool safety barrier, and fences enclosing pools or patios may be 5 ft if within 6 ft of the pavement edge. Game-court fences may be black vinyl-coated chain link or another DCC-acceptable design and may be up to 10 ft. Admirals Sound Section 4 plat restrictions add a corner-lot sight-line rule: fences, walls, hedges, and shrub plantings may not obstruct sight lines between 2 ft and 6 ft above street elevation within the triangular corner sight area.
